Make Your Home A Health eHome
It’s no secret that I’m into
protecting the environment and making healthy choices for raising
my kids. So when I heard about this new website “href="http://www.webmd.com/health-ehome-9/default.htm"
target="_blank">Health eHome”, put out in partnership
by WebMD and target="_blank">Healthy Child, Healthy World, I had to
check it out.
The verdict? It’s a great site, and one I recommend you
browse when you get the chance. Most of you probably know I heart
Healthy Child, Healthy World, and keep their book as a reference in
my house. I’m always looking to if for suggestions for
cutting down on environmental pollutants or allergans in the home,
or for suggestions for making non-toxic mildew remover.
And this is exactly what Health eHome is
about. You can navigate virtual rooms of a family home, explore
potential dangers and how to avoid hazards, learn easy solutions
and new tips, watch short videos and join the blog conversations.
Navigate the virtual kitchen and click on the microwave to learn
which containers are best for your family’s health if
you’re nuking that leftover chicken. Click on a kitchen
cabinet to read more on best ways to store those leftovers. And all
around, you’ll find easy tips and suggestions for making your
life greener and healthier. There are also Seventh Generation
coupons to be had, checklists to be used for greening your home
– you can even use the site to make a personalized action
plan for your household.
Remember that pledge you made at the beginning of the year –
to do one thing each month that will have an impact outside of
yourself? Surf this site and find easy ways to get going on
building a greener, healthier household. Good for you, good for
your kids, good for the environment.
Did I mention the free coupons?
