It Was Nice While It Lasted
We spent a glorious four days last week
with the entire family healthy, and I look back on them fondly and
reminisce.
Why look back, you ask?
Because the lucky streak is over.
Sunday morning, we pulled into the church
parking lot and started to get out of the car. At which point Cora
promptly let forth a magnificent puke, all over the back seat,
filling up her dress and car seat. In fairness to her, she hasn't
thrown up since then, but I know the worst isn't over; she became
quite crabby as Monday went on, and was boasting a low temperature
by Monday evening.
And oh yes, I have strep throat.
Again.
As Monday wore on, my throat began aching, and by the evening it
was pretty painful. A trip to my local urgent-care center
(disturbingly enough, they know me on sight now) confirmed that it
is, once again, strep throat. I'm sure Cora will wake up
complaining of a throat that's hurting tomorrow morning.
Seriously, I have nothing else to say on this matter.
